Senior ECG SDK Developer

As a senior ECG SDK (Electrocardiogram Software Development Kit) developer you will be involved in new and exciting development building our next generation, leading edge, ECG tool kit (our ECG SDK) which will be the foundation for all of our new state-of-the-art cardiology diagnostic and management systems. Our systems integrate with a diverse array of medical systems and devices to provide physicians and health care providers with the front-line tools they require to manage and combat cardiovascular disease. The ECG SDK provides the visualization and a markup tools necessary to assist the physician’s to efficiently and effectively interpret the ECG signals and provide a diagnosis; tools including digital filters, automated measurement and editing tools, and automated analysis and diagnostic algorithms.
You are comfortable developing in managed and unmanaged C++, and are well versed in newer .Net technologies.
You are experienced with the visualization of digital signals in a graphical form and you will use these skills while developing and maintaining the viewer components of the SDK. Your experience has provided you with the ability to understand and develop the digital filters needed to clean and manipulate digitized data in order to make the resulting signals easier to analyze.
You will be working in an environment where you will be relied upon to be an effective and productive contributing member. You will take an active role in developing and implementing our plan to place our products and services onto newer platforms and technologies.
As a successful candidate you will work with our programming and medical teams to create new and impactful software solutions that will dramatically improve the quality of health care.
- Implementing the next generation of our ECG SDK under the guidance of the project lead.
- Designing and implementing digital filters.
- Implementing support for new ECG recording devices and platforms.
- Implementing and integrating new analysis and interpretation algorithms.
- Implementing formatters to facilitate the translation of our proprietary ECG format to and from other formats such as MIT, SCP, FDA Xml, and ECG Xml.
- Facilitating testing to ANSI/AAMI EC11, EC13, and EC38 testing as required.
- Ownership of assigned development tasks.
- Creating detailed specification, design, code, and test documentation; facilitating the documentation of interfaces, release notes, bug fixes and scope changes.
- Identify risks and create risk mitigation plans.
- Work closely with the lead developer to ensure development tasks are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with our quality system.
- Work as a skilled, self sufficient, self directed, and self motivated individual who is able to take direction well in order to see an idea from inception to completion.
- A bachelor degree of Engineering or Computer Science; or a technical diploma plus equivalent work experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A minimum of 3 years practical experience with C++ (managed and unmanaged).
- A minimum of 3 years experience with .Net technologies; with an emphasis on C#.
- Proven ability to develop digital filters using C++.
- Proven experience developing software utilizing architectural patterns and best practices, and proven knowledge of how architectural patterns and best practices relate to good, maintainable software design.

Practical experience developing or managing in several of the following areas:
- Applications which visualize and manipulate digitized signals; such as biological signals, sound recordings, and telemetry sensor data.
- Digital signal processing and analysis algorithms.
- Graphical user interfaces for visualizing digitized waveforms and data.
- Applications utilizing plug-in architectures.
- Multithreaded applications.
- Development Technologies; VB6, C#, WPF, WCF.
- Development Tools; Visual Studio 2010, SVN, NUnit (or other unit testing frameworks), NCover (or other code coverage analysis frameworks).
- Communications protocols; Serial, TCP/IP, Bluetooth, ANT+
- Mobile and/or imbedded application development.
- Development of custom controls for use in desktop and web applications.
- Windows services.
- Threading and thread synchronization.
- VMWare based virtual environments.
- Automated load testing and profiling.
- ISO 13485 / IEC 62304 / ISO 14971
