John Overall Chief Financial Officer John Overall is a finance and legal professional with over twenty years of experience – from start-ups to global multinationals. Most recently he is a founding partner with the New York City-based firm Paley Advisors. John has worked closely with senior company executives, founders, investment bankers and venture capitalists on strategic planning issues in the software, hardware, medical devices, clean/alternative energy and oil & gas sectors. Previous to Paley Advisors, John served as Senior Advisor to both Westbridge Investments and Carrick Bend Capital, with a specific focus on venture capital and private equity deals. Prior to WestBridge/Carrick Bend, John consulted with numerous start-up's, including OcuSense, Inc. (medical devices), Code, Inc. (material sciences) and Axium Nanofibers, Inc. (material sciences). From 1999 to 2005, John held Program Lead and Senior Analyst roles at the Technology Services Group at Hewlett Packard, focusing on global product introductions, consulting services, investments, planning & reporting and warranties. Prior to HP, John served as an Analyst focused on venture capital deal support and fund accounting at Acer, Inc. Additionally, John also gained valuable experience as a Financial Analyst in the (California) Commercial Loan Group at Bank of America in the early 1990s. John holds a Bachelor of Political Science degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Business Administration degree and Juris Doctorate degree from Santa Clara University.
